Worship with Me Sunday: Mary did you know?

Worship with Me Sunday: Joy to the World

One of the things I enjoyed greatly while living overseas were the times when we were able to sing praises in both English and Japanese to our Lord. The Japanese dialect is very quick and choppy, they don't draw out their sounds like we southerners do, but I always enjoyed listening to Japanese language being sung. It just sounds so beautiful to me!!!!

Worshipw With Me Sunday: Away in a Manger

This week we will be learning Away in a Manger and Luke 2:6-7 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

My prayer for each of you this week is that your hearts will find room for Jesus and that we make Him the focus of all our preparation!!!

Worship with Me Sunday: Love Song for a Savior

1 John 4:19-21 We love because he first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

In open fields of wild flowers,
she breathes the air and flies away
She thanks her Jesus for the daises and the roses
in no simple language
Someday she'll understand the meaning of it all
He's more than the laughter or the stars in the heavens
As close a heartbeat or a song on her lips
Someday she'll trust Him and learn how to see Him
Someday He'll call her and she will come running
and fall in His arms and the tears will fall down and she'll pray,

"I want to fall in love with You"

Sitting silent wearing Sunday best
The sermon echoes through the walls
A great salvation through it calls to the people
who stare into nowhere, and can't feel the chains on their souls

He's more than the laughter or the stars in the heavens
As close a heartbeat or a song on our lips
Someday we'll trust Him and learn how to see Him
Someday He'll call us and we will come running
and fall in His arms and the tears will fall down and we'll pray,

"I want to fall in love with You"

It seems too easy to call you "Savior",
Not close enough to call you "God"
So as I sit and think of words I can mention
to show my devotion

"I want to fall in love with You"

"my heart beats for You"

Worship with Me Sunday: There is a fountain filled with Blood

We recently transferred our letter of faith from Koza Baptist to Providence Baptist. Being military we have moved alot and joined alot of churches and always seek not to compare churches but enjoy that which God has lead us to. One of the things we are greatly enjoying at our new home, Providence Baptist, is all the hymns that are sung. Praise and worship is very simple here, some guitars, a banjo every once in awhile and a piano but no less meaningful. We have been surpised at our great enjoyment of this "simple" worship style and this is actually one of our favorite parts of Sunday morning!!!

Psalm 147:1 Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing
praises to our God,how pleasant and fitting to praise him!

Worship with Me Sunday: Spoken For

John 14: 1-3 In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Worship with Me Sunday: Jesus Saves

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.

Worship with Me Sunday: In the Garden

Psalm 94:14 For the LORD will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.

Worship with Me Sunday: Books of the Bible

Psalm 119: 159-160
 See how I love your precepts;
preserve my life, O LORD, according to your love.
 All your words are true;
all your righteous laws are eternal.

Along with scripture memorization in AWANA, the kids are also required to memorize the books of the Bible. JJ learned the OT last year and this year LJ will have to recite all the books of the bible. I found the song above and am hoping it helps make the memorization a little more fun. Hope you enjoy!!!!

Worship with Me Sunday: Jesus There is Just something about that Name

Isaiah 9:6-7
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government
and peace there will be no end.
He will reign on David's throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the LORD Almighty
will accomplish this.

Worship with Me Sunday: Slow Fade

1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."

Matthew 7:2-4 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?

Worship with Me Sunday: His Love Endures Forever

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. Psalm 136:1

Worship with Me Sunday: Friend of God

John 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

"Our friendship with Jesus is based on the new life He created in us, which has no resemblance or attraction to our old life but only to the life of God. It is a life that is completely humble, pure, and devoted to God." Oswald Chambers

Worship with Me Sunday: How He Loves Us

He is jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realise just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us so,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

Yeah, He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves us,
Oh! how He loves.

We are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If His grace is an ocean, we?re all sinking.
And Heaven meets earth like an unforseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don?t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way?

Sunday

Back to the Basics

When I started my blog, I originally had a weekly post called Worship With Me Sunday. These posts somehow got put on the back burner and forgotten when I took a long, long pause in blogging. But this week I found an amazing website that has the words and music to alot of older songs. One song I use to sing LJ to sleep with is More Precious Than Silver and it is in their Songbook. I had no idea there were more verses to this song!!!! So I thought it fitting to restart Worship With Me Sunday with a very special favorite of ours!! I can't wait to learn the rest of the song!!!!

Words and Music by Lynn Deshazo
© 1982 Integrity's Hosanna! Music

Lord, You are more precious than silver.
Lord, You are more costly than gold.
Lord, You are more beautiful than diamonds,
And nothing I desire compares to You.

Lord, Your Love is higher than mountains.
Lord, Your Love is deeper than seas.
Lord, Your Love encompasses the nations,
And yet, You live right here inside of me!

Who can weigh the value of knowing You?
Who can judge the worth of who You are?
Who can count the blessings of loving You?
Who can say just how great You are?

Lord, You are more precious than silver.
Lord, You are more costly than gold.
Lord, You are more beautiful than diamonds,
And nothing I desire compares to You.

And nothing I desire compares to You.

If you click on the title of the song it will take you to Heavenly Midis Songbook and you can sing along with the music!! Have a blessed week and hope you enjoy!!!!

Worship With Me Sunday: Set Me Free

August 23, 2009

If you are not a part of the solution, you are a part of the problem. I often wonder why so many Christians are not shouting out the answer to their peace, their freedom, their forgiveness, their life. I encourage you to be a light to those who walk in the darkness of bondage, unforgiveness, of the lie that they mean nothing or that God could never love them. Show them compassion just as Christ showed you. And I challenge you to truthfully answer this question. Why can you not go up to a stranger and tell them Jesus loves them? If you really understand the outcome of them not knowing Jesus as their Savior, how can you not share the life changing truth of the gospel. Let's set America free with the truth of Jesus, one day at a time, one stranger at a time, one kind act at a time, and each breath that we breath may it be for the gain of Christ and not the selfishness of our flesh!!!

Father, make me uncomfortable in my relationship with You today. I don't want to be content in knowing that I am saved but desire to be used mightily for the advancement of Your kingdom. May the enemy tremble when He sees me walking his way because he knows that Your Word has complete hold on me and knows that I will stop at nothing to share Your truth with anyone who comes my way. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen

Worship With Me Sunday: It is You

August 9, 2009

I know it has been awhile since I last shared a Worship With Me Sunday. I thought It is You by Newsboys was the perfect one to break the silence with. What do you think?

It is You we adore, It is You our praises are for... Holy, Holy You are. Father may our hearts be able to sing out that it adores only You, praises only You and when our mouths sing out Holy,Holy may that be the truth we lift our hands to and firmly plant our feet on! In Jesus Name we pray, Amen

Worship With Me Sunday: Psalm 136

June 14, 2009

Psalm 136

1-3 Thank God! He deserves your thanks. His love never quits.
Thank the God of all gods,
His love never quits.
Thank the Lord of all lords.
His love never quits.

4-22 Thank the miracle-working God,
His love never quits.
The God whose skill formed the cosmos,
His love never quits.
The God who laid out earth on ocean foundations,
His love never quits.
The God who filled the skies with light,
His love never quits.
The sun to watch over the day,
His love never quits.
Moon and stars as guardians of the night,
His love never quits.
The God who struck down the Egyptian firstborn,
His love never quits.
And rescued Israel from Egypt's oppression,
His love never quits.
Took Israel in hand with his powerful hand,
His love never quits.
Split the Red Sea right in half,
His love never quits.
Led Israel right through the middle,
His love never quits.
Dumped Pharaoh and his army in the sea,
His love never quits.
The God who marched his people through the desert,
His love never quits.
Smashed huge kingdoms right and left,
His love never quits.
Struck down the famous kings,
His love never quits.
Struck Sihon the Amorite king,
His love never quits.
Struck Og the Bashanite king,
His love never quits.
Then distributed their land as booty,
His love never quits.
Handed the land over to Israel.
His love never quits.

23-26 God remembered us when we were down,
His love never quits.
Rescued us from the trampling boot,
His love never quits.
Takes care of everyone in time of need.
His love never quits.
Thank God, who did it all!

Father, to lead our children we must first become obedient followers of Your Word, Your Will, and those desires You placed within us. By our steps may we show our children that to become a good leader we must first become a faithful follower of Christ. Proverbs 14: 28
