Sunday

Slow Cooking Sunday

This week I made one of my favorites, Sloppy Joes!!!!  Thankfully I had some left over cheesy potatoes and black eyed peas, so this meal came together quicker than it would have taken to be seated and ordered at a restaurant, yeah!!!

Here is the orginal recipe:
1/2 onion, chopped
2lb ground beef, browned
7oz ktechup
1/2c water
1T lemon juice
1 1/2t worcestershire sauce
1t vinegar
1/4t dry mustard
hamburger buns
Brown meat; drain. combine all ingredients, except buns, in crock pot and cook on high for 4 hours.

I already had browned the ground beef and just needed to dump all the ingredients, except the buns of course, into my cooker the night before and keep it in the fridge until the next morning. Then just before I left for church I popped the cooker into the heating unit, turned it on high!!! Sorry I don't have pictures this week, the camera went MIA!!!!

Do you have a recipe you would like to share? The join the party and link up, remember you have all week to link up.

When we lived near family every Sunday afternoon we joined Pop & Mum for Sunday lunch. Each day they would put frozen meat in the crock pot (be that chicken or beaf) with carrots, onions, and potatos along with water and some brown gravy mix. The house smelled so good when we got home from church! Sometimes the meat was a bit dry, but it was nice to sit down to an effortless lunch with them once a week, at least. *smile* Thanks for sharing your recipies here. *smile* Sincerely, Mommy of two little blessings & so much more!
