It's hard to believe that we are already opening our 7th egg. This egg has a cross made out of 3 nails. The Life of Jesus a DK book is excellent reading this week. We also enjoy reading straight from the Bible.
Although this is something we will not do this year, I did do it as a child and it is one of the few items I've hung onto over the years:
If your child(ren) are old enough you might consider doing a Burnt Match Cross craft with them.
Dear Father, how blessed we are that we can pass on this life changing truth to our children. Out of all the things we desire for our children, prosperity, good health, a formal education, loving friends, and a happy home, the one thing we should basic our success as a parent on is have we guided our children to the foot of the cross. No other choice they make will impact them as much as whether they chose to accept or reject Christ. On question we must ask ourselves, and be honest about, is are we a stepping stone or stumbling block to our children coming to know Christ as their personal Savior. Let us not just tell the story of Christ but also live it out!!! In Jesus Name we pray, Amen
