Cubbie Count Down

April 15, 2009
Well I didn't participate in WFW today because I was finishing up on some last minute details on Cubbie crafts for tonight:

It's hard to believe that we only have 5 more weeks and the AWANA year is completed!! Whew, it has been a long year and yet 09 seems to be breezing by. Below is this week's reading schedule I am so excited to be reading so many Psalms and love how they are worked into 1 and 2 Samuel. It makes them more understandable.

Apr 16 Psalm 56, 120, 140-142
Apr 17 1 Samuel 5-7
Apr 18 Psalm 17, 35, 54, 63
Apr 19 1 Samuel 28-31, Psalm 18
Apr 20 Psalm 121, 123-125, 129-130
Apr 21 2 Samuel 1-4
Apr 22 Psalm 6, 8-10, 14, 16, 19, 21

Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see—how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all his goodness. Young lions on the prowl get hungry, but God-seekers are full of God. Come, children, listen closely; I'll give you a lesson in God worship. Who out there has a lust for life? Can't wait each day to come upon beauty? Guard your tongue from profanity, and no more lying through your teeth. Turn your back on sin; do something good. Embrace peace—don't let it get away! God keeps an eye on his friends, his ears pick up every moan and groan.... Is anyone crying for help? God is listening, ready to rescue you.If your heart is broken, you'll find God right there; if you're kicked in the gut, he'll help you catch your breath. Disciples so often get into trouble; still God is there every time. Psalm 34:8-17
Father let our lives be true worship to you, no bells and whistles but honest, pure worship that is lived out in our actions, in our motives, in our desires. Let us seek you for all that we need to do, day by day, minute by minute, second to second. We don't have to second guess your will for our lives you tell is when we listen and it is spelled out in your Holy Word. May we start obeying and stop delaying. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen
