Prayer Warriors Please

March 25, 2009

Dear Friends, it is with such a heavy heart that I write today. As a military wife, my shock and sorrow has been flooding over me all day and all through the night. And then I begin to realize, I'm not even the one who has to face the reality that is always looming in the backs of our heads and we desperately pray that we never have to face it. The death of a dear member of our church hits so very close to home and I feel such an urgent need to be flat on my face for this family; at this time. So while their need is so great for prayer and because even I can not express my cries, prayers, and sorrow with words I will not be posting daily prayers as I will be focusing on the Roy Family. Please know however that I am going to schedule the daily readings to continue and would love it, if you feel lead, to post a prayer daily in the comments. I expect to be away from posting for at least a week. In the mean time please pray the following for this family:

1. Comfort and provisions for all things needing to be done.
2. The path be pathed for their journey back to the States without their husband and father.
3. No complications and may everything be taken care of in a timely manner.
4. Healing
5. Compassion, may we as a family in Christ be ever sensitive to the needs of this family, from the smallest detail to the heaviest burden.
6. Pray for God's glory to shine through this situation!!

Romans 8:25-27 (New International Version)
...But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. Amen
